Kellyn Lesch, co-founder and owner of Illuminate ketamine IV therapy in Newport News, VA

Kellyn Lesch, OTR/L, CCTS-I

Kellyn is the co-founder and owner of illuminate. She is a licensed, registered Occupational Therapist and a Clinical Trauma Specialist with expertise in the evaluation and treatment of mental health and chronic pain conditions.  She has specialized training in psychedelic medicine and is certified in Psychedelic Therapy and Integration (PTI) through Fluence.  She practices with an emphasis on somatic experiencing and trauma integration while incorporating core concepts of occupational therapy practice including sensory processing, nervous system modulation and regulation, and the use of meaningful occupations to maximize integration into daily life.

Kellyn obtained her Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and has over 10 years of experience providing skilled intervention to patients across the lifespan living with physical, neurological, sensory, and cognitive disorders in community, inpatient psychiatric, outpatient, residential, and long-term care settings.  She believes in empowerment healthcare and is a direct-access provider.

Kellyn is also the owner and sole therapist of Peninsula Pelvic Health, where she provides pelvic floor therapy to those struggling with pelvic health conditions.  After opening in 2020, she quickly realized that pelvic floor dysfunction, PTSD, toxic stress, and unresolved trauma go hand-in-hand.  By utilizing a client-centered and holistic approach through the biopsychosocial model of medicine, she is able to provide intervention targeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual components of any dysfunction, specific to a client’s social context including their unique habits, roles, and routines.  As an occupational therapist, she is uniquely positioned to apply these same principles to Ketamine-Assisted Therapy and facilitate holistic and integrative healing.  She provides a safe space for KAT with the intention that her clients move forward powerfully, fearlessly, and can wholeheartedly embrace the roles and activities that make them so unique.
